Host/Provider: This programme is supported by the Irish Cancer Society.
Fields of Study: IARC wishes to stimulate research in those areas of cancer research related to its activities and of priority for the Irish Cancer Society (ICS), in particular, in projects with a focus on epidemiology (including genetic and molecular) or on interdisciplinary projects involving epidemiology and applicants can only be accepted in these fields.
Level (Degree): Fellowships are available for postdoctoral scientists who intend to pursue a career in cancer research and wish to complete their training at the IARC in Lyon, France.
Target Applicants: Irish citizens or non-Irish citizens currently living and working in the Republic of Ireland are eligible to apply.
Eligibility/Requirements: Applications for a training fellowship in 2014-2015 are invited from postdoctoral scientists who are Irish citizens or non-Irish citizens currently living and working in the Republic of Ireland. Candidates are required to finished their doctoral degree (M.D. or Ph.D.) within five years of the closing date for application or be in the final phase of completing their doctoral degree. The working languages at IARC are English and French.
